Air Hygiene Maintenance

The importance of Air Hygiene and the associated health issues where air quality is concerned cannot be underestimated. It is therefore essential for staff, pupils and members of the public to feel protected whenever they spend time inside a building which utilises an Air Handling Unit (AHU), Fan Coil Compact Unit, Split Cassette Unit or Extract Unit.Over time, these units build up layers of naturally occurring dust and debris and, if poorly maintained, can provide a hospitable environment for microbial growth. Leaving them in such a condition will directly affect the quality of the air entering any room or building it caters for, possibly with far reaching consequences.

Assured Air and Water provide a number of cleaning and monitoring services to ensure that ventilation systems are clear of all dirt, dust and debris, free of bacterial growth and are supplying clean, safe air to your site.

In a case where a unit has been cleaned and disinfected, our technicians can take microbial samples from the air supplied by the unit. As with our water samples, the results will be analysed in a sterile environment by a specialist team of chemists at a UKAS accredited laboratory. All results will then be forwarded to our customers, along with full certification provided by us.
